Goatee Singapore is about good vibes and good vibes only. On the popular Bali Lane, just a short walk from Bugis MRT, Goatee Singapore is a small but very stylish space where the quality of the food and drink is allowed to do all of the talking. Indeed, whether you’re in to unwind with a house cocktail, have a fun time with drinks and friends, or if you’re in to eat, quality at Goatee is guaranteed. The food menu isn’t huge but with the dishes on offer it doesn’t need to be, and Goatee signatures go as far as homemade chicken burger (filled to the brim, more about that below) and some premium sirloin steaks. We’re certain you’ll leave Goatee x El Burro Rosa with a smile on your face but, as it’s small, advanced reservations are essential.
Simple yet stylish is how best to describe Goatee x El Burro Rosa in terms of decor. There’s six or seven tables downstairs on a cool black & white tiled floor – a perfect space to eat or drink – then in the upstairs area it’s much the same story. As Goatee Singapore insist, it’s good vibes only here, so house cocktails, liqueurs and head-bobbing music are to be expected – all very much in sync with Goatee’s Bugis and Bali Lane location. As we say, Goatee Singapore is only about a four-minute walk away from Bugis MRT meaning it’s already a win before you’ve even got to the food.
Now, a signature homemade chicken burger was mentioned and it’s time we told you more. Expect a buttery and fresh bun filled with an extremely moist and tender chicken patty, fresh tomatoes, onions and cheddar cheese. It may not sound like anything fancy but it’s carefully constructed and done just right. The beef burger is also a delight and arrives at your table filled with super crisp turkey bacon, a hash brown and a medium-rare beef patty. Goatee Singapore owners James and Gloria will be happy to suggest a well-priced wine to complement your burger, which of course adds further to the good vibes. Head to Bugis and enjoy this little gem. It’s one of our new favourites.
