Taking its place is Ginger, an all-you-can-eat spot that showcases the well-loved flavours of Singapore and Asia through a wide assortment of seafood specialities.
Start with your choice of crustaceans from the ice counter before moving along to the hot pot, where you drop your favourite prawns, lobsters, clams and mussels into the special seafood broth to cook. A Singaporean classic that is also a national dish, the chilli crab is a must-have, and it’s best shared with your crew together with a portion of whole sea bass baked in rock salt. The selection of crispy roast meats will appease all carnivores, who should also save some room in their tummies for Ginger’s Hainanese chicken rice, tandoori lamb chops, and satay skewers served fresh off the grill. Last but not least, you can’t go wrong with the restaurant’s signature lemongrass ginger ice cream for dessert – a refreshing treat like no other. Nice buffet spread. Food is delicious. Need to be there early to eat the lobsters because they are gone by 8.30. Overall, good value for money.
this is my 2nd visit after a week from my 1st. compared to 1st visit for lunch, 2nd visit is for dinner is more crowded, signature dishes need to queue. the queue is especially long for the lobster in pumpkin. And there is queue for coffee machine and no milk is replenish when is our turn. slower service in terms of clearing plates. overall, my recommendation is lunch since service is better and faster. food choice is slightly difference which is not a concern.
Its worth the $58++, especially with UOB Card's 20% discount, or 30% (privilege), plenty of seafood, I didn't have stomach for everything but I attacked a lot of crabs and lobsters! It's available every day now, it used to be only Sun-Thurs if not wrong, and mainly crab, but now there's lobsters, crayfish, prawns etc
Value for money deal. Reservation is fuss-free except that payment needs to be made in advance for the promotion at Ginger. Some hits and misses but for the price, it is decent.
I’m booked this restaurant for the lobster and crab promotion. However I’m quite disappointed with the quality of the crab and especially the lobster. Lobster is tough to bite, crab meat soft n abit mushy. However I must say the rest of the food is ok for a buffet spread as I was expecting less varieties since the emphasis is on lobster and crab.
Wanted to use my UOB card to settle bill in order to get 20% discount, but due to whatever unknown reason, the staff told my card cannot be read, and was not keen to offer other alternatives or try ways to get the transaction across with the 20% discount. Food was only normal tasting, and towards 9:30pm, they did not stock up the food anymore, especially the desserts which people tend to eat towards the end.
Excellent service and staff very customer centric and friendly. No need to ask for water topup as they will be willing and promptly topup by staff . Used plates and bowls are removed very promptly too . Attentitive to details . Well done
