Gattopardo’s new location along Tras Street in Tanjong Pagar has made this renowned Italian seafood restaurant an even more attractive place to bring, friends, family, and loved ones for an exceptionally fine Italian dining experience. Offering a fresh and seasonal menu of high-quality seafood flown in from all corners of the world, Gattopardo’s new look, European vibe and impeccable service succeeds once again in making regulars feel like they’ve rediscovered the restaurant anew, and newcomers feel like they’ve never truly experienced Italian seafood before. Singapore’s Gattopardo Ristorante di Mare is a top destination on the culinary map.
See below for Gattopardo's special menus!
Gattopardo Ristorante di Mare’s new Tanjong Pagar venue can now accommodate up to 80 diners spread over two floors in a renovated shophouse down Tras Street. A tranquil courtyard for alfresco dining is deeply reminiscent of Europe, while the upper floor is accessed by an Italianate spiral staircase and a floor-to-ceiling wine cabinet displays the restaurant’s consummate collection of international vintages. An Italian seafood restaurant in Singapore of this calibre attracts a discerning crowd, eager to sample managing director and head chef Lino Sauro’s fresh and seasonal approach to cuisine, but all comers can expect a warm welcome.
Sauro, in charge of all aspects of Gattopardo’s operations – from the manager’s office to the kitchen – understands the importance of sustainable practices at all levels of hospitality, something that cosmopolitan Singapore diners are increasingly on the lookout for when they choose where to dine. His ethos is central to the way of life in southern Italy, his birthplace and the inspiration for many of the dishes on the extensive menu at this Tanjong Pagar seafood restaurant. Importing not simply premium ingredients when it’s necessary to impart real authenticity to the Italian fare on offer, Sauro and Gattopardo’s have a monopoly on ethical cuisine in the city. Book a table to sample Gattopardo’s tantalising new seafood dishes along with the continued line of signature dishes.
A bit expensive but the ambiance and the stuff are great, pastas and fish were good, just a bit disappointed with the appetiser.
The ambiance is good and cozy, perfect for the evening date setting. However, a group setting is also wonderful. The staff treated and the service is excellent.
The food was wonderful. The wine perfect. The service warm and friendly but professional. It is just the place i want to bring my family and friends to chill and wind down after a hard day.
Good food, good service and good a la carte menu with a fine selection of wines. Cosy, elegant, lux yet relaxed and private atmosphere. Good space, easy to talk. A true hideaway. Good value for money. Excellent location.
Gattopardo serves Southern Italian food with a modern slant. The food is beautifully presented. The chef took effort to make sure the food is multi dimensional in taste and appeal. My only grouse is, for the price that I am paying, the portions can be more generous. I had a starter (trout), shared a pasta (Argentinean prawn pasta), had a main (lamb with couscous, hummus & mint) and shared a dessert (tart with blood orange). It may suit the weight watching lady but for the average guy, you may mean a post-dinner small burger to fill up. Nonetheless, I rate my Gattopardo experience at 4.5.
Conscientious and efficient service for my group which included a senior citizen. Recommendations and subsequent dishes were excellent. And I would have to add that the 'lombatello' (onglet in French) was excellent; medium rare beef does not get much better done - especially in a seafood speciality restaurant. A very good first time experience at Gattopardo and only reason why I rate a 5 and not a 6 is that I do not give perfect scores!
Starter bread with olive oil was excellent. The ravioli with red prawns, truffles and burrata sauce was delightful too. And they also have an extensive range of wine. Kath was also very attentive and had really great recommendations. Tiramisu was nothing much to rave about. But nevertheless, very pleasant evening spent at Gattopardo!
Sommelier was excellent, however, the rest of the service was average for the price. Staff told us about daily specials and what wasn't available after we had already spent 15 minutes looking at the menu. Was given the dessert menu again after we had already eaten dessert. Atmosphere average and dated. Food very good, wine very good. Maitre d needed to wear some more clothes - felt like we were entering 4 Floors and another server had an Adidas top on... Not as polished as we expected. However, we weren't rushed and did enjoy our evening, just not sure we would return with friends or recommend.
Gattopardo is a very nice Italian restaurant. Great food, and friendly service! They can do both informal and more gourmet oriented settings. We mainly come for the latter and are always enjoying the experience.
The atmosphere and ambience were outstanding, the wait staff was excellent and we had an exceptional dinning experience. I would definitely recommend Gattopardo and will return on my next trip to Singapore
