Great experience at the restaurant. Portions were decent, but definitely could be better for the price. I had the pork tonkatsu and it was very tender and juicy.

tried the Spanish pork katsu set, which came with a regular size breaded loin and a generous serving of lettuce (rather than the typical shredded cabbage) doused in goma sauce. meat was softer than usual with less bite -- is this what they mean by "melt in the mouth"? overall, a decent tonkatsu meal :)

Despite its small size, Deli Kitchen delivers great-quality Japanese dishes that are truly delicious.

While the location and setup of this eatery can be said to be not so appealing, you'd be pleasantly surprised by the standard of their cooking and wide choice of quality Jap-themed dishes. My personal favourite is the anago don, which I regard as a healthier version (based on cooking method) of eel over rice :) Another must try is their roast beef don. The premium tonkatsu options are also tempting, though I haven't yet tried them. The only downside I feel is the lack of hot brewed Japanese tea -- what they serve is powdered tea, which somehow doesn't taste right imho! -- to provide a good balance to the food you eat. Still, if you're in the vicinity of Jln Besar/Little India, do drop by Sunshine Plaza to check out Deli's Kitchen!

The service is good. But it’s only 1 guy serving and cooking. The restaurant looks empty. The food is not really up to our expectation.

This is a homey little Japanese restaurants, run by Japanese (I think). Suggest upsizing the meat portion as the smallest portion is a little out of proportion vs the rice.

Cosy restaurant with a wide menu variety. But the food is quite expensive for its portion. I'm a beef lover but I guess ox tongue is not something I enjoy.
