Delicacy, Mediterranean deli by day, tapas bar by night, is taking Singapore by storm. Serving up premium coffees, craft beer and fine wines, this cafe and restaurant on Gemmill Street in the Club Street area is the perfect place to meet up for casual drinks with friends at any time of the day (they’re open seven days a week). The food on offer has a distinct European influence, and is only made using the best ingredients and sustainably grown produce – that’s quality you can taste.
The team at Delicacy on Gemmill Street is obsessed with sharing the most innovative gourmet creations with the people of Singapore. The Spanish breakfast is well known around the Club Street area and includes slow-cooked eggs, salsa brava, crispy potato cubes and toast, all served at a very reasonable price. Plus, the coffee is incredible, featuring the best gourmet roasts from Sumatra and Ethiopia, as well as specialty blends.
The menu at Delicacy on Singapore’s Gemmill Street – just steps from busy Club Street – is so chock-full of fantastic options that it’s tough to actually difficult decide on the top picks. We can’t get enough of the restaurant’s selection of tapas in the evenings, which includes numerous vegetarian small plates, seafood delights, freshly-baked breads and platters of premium meats. If you plan to dine with a group, make sure to try the Lobster Bomba Rice, an incredible platter of rice cooked with freshly caught lobster suitable for sharing with up to four diners. You can’t go wrong with dessert here – indulge in sweets like strawberry rice pudding, crema catalana, and brulee-cinnamon harmony.
The lunch set (with vegetarian pasta - red sauce) was good. The waitresses were friendly as well so it was a pleasant experience. We were there at 12 and there were not many people.
Genuine Spanish Tapas, not the fake-fusion style that many places seem to prefer these days, so if you life a traditional meal with a good sangria then this is a great option for you. Nice location, just of Club St and 2 minutes from Telok Ayer MRT so easy access, friendly staff and reasonably priced - $100 for 2 including 4 glasses of Sangria.
Very reasonably priced dishes that don't compromise on quality. Really love that it's one of the most affordable places in the area. We had the Truffle and Walnut Croquetas that arrived to the table crispy on the outside and creamy within. Mains such as the Octopus, Seabass and Angus steak were all done perfect as well. For dessert, we had Churros and a Xmas special french toast, which we just couldn't get enough of. The wine menu is relatively conservative but there's a varied mix ranging from whites to a thick sweet wine reminiscent of fortified wine.
Friendly and prompt service despite being full house on a Friday night. Food was fantastic, especially the croquetas, potato bravas and paella. Definitely coming back soon!
Visited Delicacy utilising Entertainer coupon (1-for-1 main course). It was a cozy eatery with pretty decent tapas and 10% off wine (during happy hours). Worth a trip should one like a quiet dinning experience.
We ordered truffle croquetas, chorizo tortilla, tiger prawns and seabass. All dishes were tasty! Serving size was a bit small, most of the tapas dishes were 4 pieces. Restaurant was nice and quiet, excellent for a catch-up with friends. Service was prompt and attentive.
Excellent Spanish Restaurant close to club street. It is perfect for a any occaions, business lunch or dinner with friends. The head chef Victor is from Barcelona and he knows what he is doing. Absolutely recommended.
i loved the croquetas, the seafood bomba rice and the shrimps! thought the servings were quite small, the prices were not too much. the owner was very nice. the food was relatively slow. and please serve non alcohol drinks that is not coffee like soda, or juice as option
Very good lunch set - value for money! The food was tasty and well-presented. Definitely above average for the area. Friendly service. Would like to try their dinner offerings next time.
