Delhi Restaurant, in the heart of Little India on Race Course Road, is dedicated to bringing the authentic taste of North India to the curry-craving masses of Singapore. They take the best of the cuisine of their home region and create dishes that replicate the flavours and aromas of the Indian capital in the ever-competitive culinary scene of Serangoon. They have a huge variety of curries – including a massive selection for vegetarians – as well as a full repertoire of starters, sundries, rice dishes and beverages to round out a superb Indian meal.
On entry at the Delhi Restaurant on Race Course Road, make sure you get yourself a few Kingfisher beers to get the party started – sometimes you’ll get a few free poppadoms thrown in just for asking – and pick your favourites from the starter selection. A well-rounded group will fill up on samosas and pakoras for the veggies and a few kebabs from the tandoor to satisfy carnivores, before getting stuck into the main event. Make sure you order a few tandoor-fresh breads to mop up your curry, or even a rice-based pulao to soak in a little sauce. Do as they do down in Seragoon, a.k.a. Little India, by attacking the curry with your hands, armed only with a fresh naan or two.
