Delhi 6 are big news in Singapore. There’s plenty of places offering Indian food in the city, but few have been able to spread as successfully as this group has managed. This branch in Katong V is another success for the team. The reason is simple: the food at Delhi 6 is unique. The group specialises in serving the long-forgotten flavours of India’s North-West Frontier Province – this East Coast Road eatery is no ordinary Indian!
The food on offer at Katong V’s Delhi 6 is deceptively simple. The kebabs are chunks of meat, seafood
and vegetables marinated and then roasted in a tandoor. The food looks like any kebab you may
have had before, but the proof is in the, um, kebab, so to speak. The flavours are subtle, complex and
have little to do with any generic Indian food you may have had in the past. The team at the East
Coast Road incarnation of Delhi 6 are using techniques with roots in centuries old craft cooking.
Carnivores and vegetarians are both well catered to at Dehli 6 @ Katong V. The menu presents great chicken and lamb options, some purely vegetarian kebabs, and seafood skewers too. Guests to the East Coast Road Dehli 6 are heading there for innovative Indian food, unlike anything you’ve tried before, in a smart, café-style dining room. There’s much to recommend in this branch of the hugely successful chain, not least the innovative food, and smart, brisk service. Singapore has long been infatuated with Dehli 6, and it’s clear that there’s good reason for that.
It was my 3rd or 4th time to Delhi 6. Not for a while though. Disappointed they have moved over to iPad menus (call me old-fashioned). And they didn't have my fave Erdinger beer. But the house pour Red was very palatable. I chose 2 veggie options neither of which were particularly memorable I'm sad to say. And we were only 1 out of 2 couples at the restaurant from 6.30-7.45 which was sad to see, but it was only Tuesday I guess. Service was good and the owner/front of house is always super-friendly.
Nice restaurant located in the vincinity of East Coast Park, kebabs were awesome and tasted really nice! worth the money and suitable for people to get together and spend some leisure time sitting down chatting
Very nice food. Reasonably priced too. The quality of food was nice, tasty and reasonably priced. Would have loved to get the Groupon deal but it was not available becos it was public holiday.
Great food, ambience and service. Love the tasty and innovative vegetarian kebabs. Ginger Lassi is awesome as well as the Biryani. Will return again surely
