Inspired by the famous Rio De Janeiro neighbourhood, Copacabana is a steakhouse bringing the tropical charm of Brazil to Liverpool’s Queen Square. A mecca for meat lovers, diners can feast on as many prime cuts of meat as they can eat, washed down with Brazilian-inspired cocktails from the restaurant’s extensive menu. Located in the heart of central Liverpool, Copacabana is a popular choice for both lunch and dinner. Book in advance to snag a table!
At Copacabana in central Liverpool, you can indulge in continuous table service of premium cuts of Brazilian meat. You will be provided with a coloured disk – simply turn it to the green side to signal that you want more, or turn it to red if you wish to take a break. Some of the mouthwatering meats available include chicken thigh, smoked gammon, leg of lamb, black pudding, sirloin, sausage and chilli rump, as well as some more exotic options like the chicken heart.
Side your meat with some vegetables from the salad bar, and sink back a cocktail or two from the lengthy list of tasty concoctions. We recommend the caipirinha, Brazil’s signature drink made with cachaca, sugar and fresh lime, or the Panema (Zubrowka vodka, apple schnapps, apple juice, strawberries and lime juice). Take a trip to Copacabana for a tropical retreat away from central Liverpool. Make a reservation and head on over to Queen Square!

We booked our table for 8pm and were not seated until 8:30pm.. We managed to finally flag a waitress down to order drinks at 9pm... Then the drinks took a further 20mins to arrive.. It was quite a busy night for Copacabana and I was really shocked at the bad/unorganised service having read so many great reviews.. Although we had a very long wait, I must be truthful and tell you the food was gorgeous! Especially the cap of rump!. Without any prompting atall, the manager kindly gave us 20% off and apologised for the long waits. He explained that it was an unusually hectic night for them.. I feel that they could do with hiring afew more waitresses and atleast one more barman.. based on other peoples raving reviews, I think I would give Copacabana a second chance.. But maybe on a weeknight. Hopefully service will be more prompt then... Overall, not the best datenight. But the food was really delicious!
This was our first trip to a Brazilian BBQ restaurant, so didn't know quite what to expect. The waitress welcomed us and was very friendly. She explained where everything in the buffet was etc. The buffet was really good. A very nice selection of salad, vegetables, bread, rice etc. The potatoes were delicious, I think they were cooked with garlic and chilli oil. They went perfectly with the meat. The chef brought an excellent selection of meet to the table. As we were Brazilian BBQ virgins, he showed us the etiquette of how we should take the meat that he carves and put it on the little plate in the middle of the table, rather than directly on our plates as he carved it and to use the stop and go sign. It was different from what I'm used to, but when in Rome.... The different types of meat that he brought to the table were grilled perfectly. I especially enjoyed the beef and chicken. My wife and I were full up after only having tried half of the types of meat - I think you must go to this BBQ hungry, to get best value and try everything. My only criticism, is that the chef brought the food to the table too quickly. We had the cards on stop, but he brought the different types of meat about every 2 minutes, before we had really had a chance to finish the first type of meat he served us. Apart from that everything was excellent. It was expensive (I think around £25 each), but considering the selection, quality of the meat, size of the restaurant ans service, it was very good value overall. We'll be back again, the next time we're in Liverpool and will hopefully try the cocktails too.
This was my 2nd visit to Copacabana in the last couple of months and I really enjoyed it again. The choice of Salad to choice from was varied and there was hot options as well. The mushrooms in cream sauce are particularly nice and I also tried the meatballs which were tasty as well. These were an accompaniment to the different meats on offer of which you could have as much or little as you want.
Wonderful Staff, Great Atmosphere and Gorgeous Food!! We visited on Saturday after the firework display, a very busy night in Liverpool and the restaurant. We were shown to our table straight away and the concept was explained to us in full. Compared to other similar restaurants the range of foods at the salad bar were great, hot and cold choices. You couldn't fault the quality of the meats and the frequency they were brought to the table and each and every time one of the waiters arrived, they were very polite and went out of their way to ask how our evening was, how the food was and make a fuss of our son. All in all a great family friendly restaurant.
Food was fantastic. However, we booked using this app for 12.00pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 11.50 to be told that it would not be open for another 20-25 minutes. We had been shopping all morning and, we were ready to eat. We then had to go walking around town for another 25 mins as we were not welcomed in to sit and have a drink whilst they prepared the restaurant. Then when we finally managed to get sat down, we (and others) were sat in an area where a workman was drilling and hammering repairs out on the disabled toilet. However. The food was fantastic, and the waitress made up for the original lack of hospitality. Even my little girl who is 4 and can be a fussy eater loved the food. Nice food, just don't book at 12.00pm!
Took awhile to understand how it worked as never been there before but once we understood we both enjoyed it. The staff were lovely the meat was succelant and tasty oh my we will deffo be going back again. Highly reccommend. You get your plate choose your salad if you want any then you turn your little card over to green then you wait for the different meats to come to the table. If you want a break turn the card over to red to let them know your on a break if you want more flip it back over to green. Worth the money brazillian style of all you can eat but its just meat.
