Inspired by the famous Rio De Janeiro neighbourhood, Copacabana is a steakhouse bringing the tropical charm of Brazil to Liverpool’s Queen Square. A mecca for meat lovers, diners can feast on as many prime cuts of meat as they can eat, washed down with Brazilian-inspired cocktails from the restaurant’s extensive menu. Located in the heart of central Liverpool, Copacabana is a popular choice for both lunch and dinner. Book in advance to snag a table!

At Copacabana in central Liverpool, you can indulge in continuous table service of premium cuts of Brazilian meat. You will be provided with a coloured disk – simply turn it to the green side to signal that you want more, or turn it to red if you wish to take a break. Some of the mouthwatering meats available include chicken thigh, smoked gammon, leg of lamb, black pudding, sirloin, sausage and chilli rump, as well as some more exotic options like the chicken heart.
Side your meat with some vegetables from the salad bar, and sink back a cocktail or two from the lengthy list of tasty concoctions. We recommend the caipirinha, Brazil’s signature drink made with cachaca, sugar and fresh lime, or the Panema (Zubrowka vodka, apple schnapps, apple juice, strawberries and lime juice). Take a trip to Copacabana for a tropical retreat away from central Liverpool. Make a reservation and head on over to Queen Square!
Great friendly staff. Good value for money. Food amazing and plenty of it just kept coming until we surrendered! Would definately recommend 👍Good selection of drinks as well. Thank you
lovely food and lovely friendly staff. fully recommend. not expensive. wide choice of meats and salad bar, all you can eat. very clean. good drinks menu
Large selection of freshly cooked meats on offer with plenty of choice of salad/vegetables. Service was frequent and staff were attentive. Would highly recommend it
Great location, lovely staff, fabulous food! We loved it and we will definitely be back. We were even given a free cocktail each for our anniversary.
We booked our table for 8pm and were not seated until 8:30pm.. We managed to finally flag a waitress down to order drinks at 9pm... Then the drinks took a further 20mins to arrive.. It was quite a busy night for Copacabana and I was really shocked at the bad/unorganised service having read so many great reviews.. Although we had a very long wait, I must be truthful and tell you the food was gorgeous! Especially the cap of rump!. Without any prompting atall, the manager kindly gave us 20% off and apologised for the long waits. He explained that it was an unusually hectic night for them.. I feel that they could do with hiring afew more waitresses and atleast one more barman.. based on other peoples raving reviews, I think I would give Copacabana a second chance.. But maybe on a weeknight. Hopefully service will be more prompt then... Overall, not the best datenight. But the food was really delicious!
This was my 2nd visit to Copacabana in the last couple of months and I really enjoyed it again. The choice of Salad to choice from was varied and there was hot options as well. The mushrooms in cream sauce are particularly nice and I also tried the meatballs which were tasty as well. These were an accompaniment to the different meats on offer of which you could have as much or little as you want.
Wonderful Staff, Great Atmosphere and Gorgeous Food!! We visited on Saturday after the firework display, a very busy night in Liverpool and the restaurant. We were shown to our table straight away and the concept was explained to us in full. Compared to other similar restaurants the range of foods at the salad bar were great, hot and cold choices. You couldn't fault the quality of the meats and the frequency they were brought to the table and each and every time one of the waiters arrived, they were very polite and went out of their way to ask how our evening was, how the food was and make a fuss of our son. All in all a great family friendly restaurant.
Food was fantastic. However, we booked using this app for 12.00pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 11.50 to be told that it would not be open for another 20-25 minutes. We had been shopping all morning and, we were ready to eat. We then had to go walking around town for another 25 mins as we were not welcomed in to sit and have a drink whilst they prepared the restaurant. Then when we finally managed to get sat down, we (and others) were sat in an area where a workman was drilling and hammering repairs out on the disabled toilet. However. The food was fantastic, and the waitress made up for the original lack of hospitality. Even my little girl who is 4 and can be a fussy eater loved the food. Nice food, just don't book at 12.00pm!
Took awhile to understand how it worked as never been there before but once we understood we both enjoyed it. The staff were lovely the meat was succelant and tasty oh my we will deffo be going back again. Highly reccommend. You get your plate choose your salad if you want any then you turn your little card over to green then you wait for the different meats to come to the table. If you want a break turn the card over to red to let them know your on a break if you want more flip it back over to green. Worth the money brazillian style of all you can eat but its just meat.
Service was not that good, kept waiting at the desk, table was not ready and had to wait 20 minutes for dessert. I appreciate that they were busy and the waiter took £5 off for the wait for the dessert. Do not wear high shoes, the floor was so slippy that I had to take mine off to go downstairs to the toilet otherwise I would have had an accident. The meat was absolutely gorgeous though, don't eat too much at the salad bar otherwise you will be too full even to walk!!! Would go back again though.
Spent a second evening here as usual the food was excellent the restaurant was busy as usual just as well we booked. The only criticism i can make being honest is that the service was a little slow to begin with but gained pace after a little while, maybe it was just down to the place being really busy and the staff did seem to be run off their feet but will still visit again and again.
Great food, good service. A little pricey but you can eat as much as you like so I guess that's understandable. Meats are all delicious and well cooked. We booked an early table as we were eating pre-theatre so there was no waiting time and very few people in. I've not yet been later in the evening so don't know how busy it gets then. However, from personal experience I would definitely recommend a meal out here.
Wonderful food, if not a little too fast with serving, although that is the point of the restaurant. The drinks however, took forever to come. We asked 2 waitresses plus the manager, and after 40 minutes we just got up and grabbed a jug of water from the bar. The drinks did eventually come, and the barman did apologise profusely, although I thought as a gesture of goodwill the bill for the drinks would be waived, but no. Overall, we were happy with our meal, and would probably return, just a shame about the drinks.
Absolutely fantastic place! If you want a restaraunt which makes you look like a god in front if freinds and family then this is the one!!! - Great freash food, the meat just never stops coming..... as much as your tummies can hold..... plenty of variety on the salad and all the cooked vegetables etc (The mushrooms in a cream sauce are to die for), we will go back many times!
We went at a quiet time so I was slightly worried the food would not be freshly cooked. This was not the case. The meat arrived at our table cooked to perfection. It was delicious, my compliments to the chief. The service was excellent, attentive but we have privacy. Thank you, we had a lovely evening.
Brilliant restaurant with top quality food and incredibly friendly staff. Me and the girlfriend went and were both satisfied with the experience. The restaurant looks generic on the outside but the inside is incredibly classy and of very high quality. Tables nicely decorated, food arrived swiftly and the waiters/waitresses were incredibly friendly and polite. Although prices are very high, the food is definitely worth the buy.
Xmas Day , the Best , Copacabana ensured that, brilliant , Management, Staff , Service, Food ( wow) drinks , booked 4 next year, Tony
lovely environment, great friendly staff who made us feel really welcome, Food was excellent, great value for money as you can literally have as much as you want in terms of meat and sides too. Excellent choice of wines and drinks .... oh and they made great caiprinhas too !
Nice restaurant, great location for lime st station snd st Georges hall. Good service. The meat just keeps on coming!! Salad/pasta etc bar was good, plenty to choose from. Only negatives were the steak being chewy and the pork with Parmesan was far too strong, I had to wrap it in a serviette and get it off my plate!!!
Great food well cooked and seasoned. Pasta and salad bars lots of choice, meat is carved at your table and you can have a break from food by using the mats on table been to go red to stop. Really well worth the money and would go back
Excellent meal and perfect for what we were after - relaxed, good atmosphere (was a bit hot at the start but cooled down during the evening), fun concept. Was really busy because of Grand national so service was a little slow on a couple of occasions but staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Pleasant, clean environment. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The price was reasonable. i would have liked to see a little more offering of different types of meats as I have experienced in other similar restaurants but that does not detract from the rating at all. I would definitely visit again in the future.
Very quiet at the time we went but food was lovely . Only 6 different types of meat at the time we went but with it being steak porky lamb and chicken and unlimited then it was more than enough . Would definitely return again
Food was good though we didn't get 3 of the meats that were promised on the menu and pineapple was not offered at all (standard in other similar restaurants). Salad bar was also nice but, following an influx of people, we went up for second helpings and there was barely anything left. Service wasn't great either. The drinks were slow to reach us and whilst collecting our plates the waitress spilt food remnants into my partner's pint. Although cheaper than some rivals, we won't be tempted to come back.
We went early Saturday evening which was very busy. Sides and salads were pretty bland. Meats were beautifully cooked but often waiting for long periods between offerings- did not get to sample full range of meats- no lamb appeared, no chicken in bacon (both which were on the menu). Would have been nice to have been offered a fish option. Service by waitresses was efficient but obviously rushed off their feet. Great experience for this kind of restaurant but doubt we will go again.
Fabulous restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Meat just kept coming and was very tasty. Desserts werent the best but I really shouldn't have had the room for one anyway. Excellent Brazilian meat feast and would definitely recommend this place.
Can't recommend this restaurant enough, the staff were welcoming on arrival and tentative throughout the meal. The standard of food was amazing and variety plentiful. This will be top of the list of must visits when we return to Liverpool.
Excellent service, the food was better than any other Brazilian restaurant that we have attended. We also sampled the cocktails which were value for money yet tasted and looked wonderful. Would we eat here again a big Yes 5*****
Lovely restaurant, decor is lovely, staff very attentive. The only issue was some of the meat was quite fatty, and there wasn't as much choice in the buffet as other places like this, but it was only £12.95 (lunch) so it was good value.
Fantastic service, fantastic food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The salad bar was nice and the waiters came around a lot with plenty of food. We most definitely will be going back there again !
Very nice and friendly. The staff are are all extremely helpful and professional. A huge rang of salad, and the cooked meats brought to the table on skewers are just fantastic. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful food. Meat was cooked to perfection. Nice atmosphere in restaraunt. Definately eat there again. Lady who dealt with us all night was really nice and made sure we were happy all the time.
So much meat! Friendly staff and perfect location. We were sat in the window so had a lovely view of Liverpool. Spent two hours in the restaurant there was no pressure to leave even though it was a Saturday night.
Great service, quick to resolve any issues. Staff very polite and helpful would highly recommend. The atmosphere was great, website needs to be updated as the menu online contradicts that in the restaurant.
Excellent food, great service and reasonable prices. Meat cooked perfectly and a good choice of different types of meat. The guy bringing the meats round was really friendly. Definitely worth another visit!
friendly staff, good atmosphere and lovely food. Will be returning. It was my boyfriends birthday and staff made it extra special with cake and candle and singing happy birthday. Lots of fun.
had a great time staff where more than helpful & polite, sald bar had both hot & cold fod to choose from and the meat was delicious will definitely be visiting again
Amazing food and great service. Would highly recommend. The rump steak was cooked to perfection rare on the inside and caramelised on the out. I could have ate there all night.
We were seated downstairs the salads were upstairs so it meant going up and down the stairs for food. Drink service very slow. All the meats were very rare and despite the menu stating that they could be cooked to the customers liking this didn't happen.
Had a brilliant time here, great food and very friendly staff, would certainly go back if we ever come back to Liverpool, lovely Argentinian Malbec red too £18.95 a bottle
Friendly staff in a great central Liverpool location. Loved the concept of grilled meats served at the table. The quality of the meats were not consistent, some were delicious but others were tough and lacking in flavour. Need to source better quality beef especially.
Good food, good drinks , good atmosphere, what more could you want in a place to eat . Definitely recommend to try this place . Will be going again
Great food...tender, juicy pieces of meat and a good variety of sides. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This was our second visit and as good as the first
The food was excellent and the service even better, especially the little birthday gesture at the end for my son. Would definitely recommend it and will be going back.
Excellent food and the staff were very friendly would have no hesitation in recommending the copacabana . Couldn't even manage a gorgeous dessert even though I wanted one.
Fun place great food wide meat selection very good salads very good and reasonable wine we tried the Malbec novel great service good value nice ambience highly recommended
Lovely staff, great food and quick service! Was seated straight away, menu was explained and within minutes we had various meats being brought to our table. Highly recommend.
The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were very attentive. Very clean place to eat with a Lovely atmosphere. Lovely staff, lovely food would recommend .
