The place is way too small. I came all the way for Beef Short ribs but it is out. The place is way too smoky and after spending just half hour, your whole body will smell of smoke. It's not a conducive place to have a place with open cooking concept. I hope they operate from a better ventilated kitchen
We ordered 4 Lamb Ribs and 1 Lamb Chops. The portion was huge! And the price is very affordable at $18.90 and $16.90. Please do not change your food quality and price, it was awesome! Only grouse is the space is a bit cramped and ventilation is quite poorly. But hey, it works for 5 of us! The staff were all smiley and very friendly. We are DEFINITELY COMING back again.. :)
Good food but the place is a bit squeezy to be honest. Still, love the food! Didnt get to order the chicken wings and spare ribs since we were told its not available at the moment.

Eating is relaxed to the point of being horizontal, but without sacrificing the quality of the food being
put out by Chef Taj, who prides himself on the superior quality of his food.
The menu at Cookwerx by ChefTaj is a meat-lovers paradise. It includes roasted chicken, lamb ribs steak and fish options like baked salmon filet or traditional fish and chips. And with daily changing specials, guests at the East Village’s Cookwerx by ChefTaj are likely to find something that tickles their fancy. The team at Cookwerx by ChefTaj also do most of their food to take away, and do a moreish line in post jacket potatoes which are perfect for lunch. Open on Mondays from 4pm and from 10am the rest of the week, Cookwerx by ChefTaj on Upper Changi Road is ideal for a relaxed bite in the East Village.
