Brassica Grill’s a la carte menu is equally down-to-earth, with a strong showing of the grilled meat and vegetable dishes that are this Stockport’s restaurants forte, and a similarly strong demonstration of how Faulkner can capably marry British cuisine with international flavours and textures. The Sunday roast was superb as always. Service is always friendly & efficient. My son had the steak which was cooked beautifuly & his chips where cooked to perfection. It was my mothers first visit & she was very impressed by the standard.

Book Sunday lunch at Brassica Grill for a table of four; the food was excellent, particularly the Ox Tongue salad starter and the Pork belly main course; both dishes were on the fixed price menu which offers a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains & 3 desserts with 2 courses for £14 and 3 courses charged at £17, this proves to be fantastic value for a bib gourmand rated restaurant. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable, if a little slow due to a very busy looking service. Parking can be a little tricky given the restaurants location within a small row of shops in a residential area; however there is spaces to be found within a short walking distance. Overall, the food and drinks were of a high standard and good value and I would, therefore, have no hesitation in recommending Brassica Grill.

After hearing good things about this restaurant I thought I would give it a go. I was never convinced by the decor & it did put me off going. I was wrong ! You will not be disappointed. The food was excellent as was the wine we chose. The food was reasonably priced for the high standard that we received. I have paid more for not as good. The young manager that looked after us was a credit to the restaurant. Happy, knowledgeable & good service. We had a good evening. I don't like to recommend normally but this is one place that I will. We will be back again soon....

We started with aubergine, labneh and pane carasau, with lovely fresh and spicy flavours, two portions provided a nice light started for our party of four. We then had the most wonderful rib eye steak, tasty tender meat with a beautiful charcoal flavour on the outside, cooked exactly to our specification, both the medium-rare and rare versions were perfect. Good chips, excellent peppercorn and blue cheese sauces. The sides of mixed salad and buttered Savoy cabbage were a little on the bland side. Two of us managed pudding, the Braeburn apple soufflé was fluffy and light and the Norfolk treacle tart was heavenly. We had a couple of glasses of Pinot Noir El Viejo, very pleasant with the steak. The expresso coffees were excellent. Service was courteous and efficient.

We ordered the salt beef scotch eggs and aubergine to start - very good. For our main courses we had cod with spiced lentils, and a sirloin steak. The cod was cooked perfectly and the lentils were delicious but it also had an avocado and coriander side which was an odd pairing. The first steak was over cooked, I asked for medium-rare and it wasn't. However the second steak was beautifully cooked and had bags of flavour. The staff were really friendly even when I changed my mind and asked to cancel a desert ( if it wasn't too late). The good stuff was really good but it needs a few tweaks to make it great - some odd food combinations and harsh lighting.

This little gem of a restaurant certainly hits above its weight in both value for money and culinary experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are efficient and very attentetive. The menu choice is really good and the food presentation and preparation is excellent. There is also a good choice of wines. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to family and friends and it is a perfect choice for an evening as a couple of for meeting up with friends. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

This was a birthday treat for my wife. All 4 of us had the special 3 courses for £17.50 each on a quiet Sunday afternoon, post Christmas. All 3 courses were delicious, very well presented and cooked to the highest standard, the standard you would expect in a city centre high class restaurant at twice the cost. Brassica will do very well serving the "Four Heatons" area of Stockport, Manchester and I would strongly recommend you give it a try.
