More about the restaurant: Blue Smoke

The 1925 Brewing Co.in Singapore’s Joo Chiat is taking craft beer to a whole new level. Beginning in 2013 as a microbrewery and restaurant, the space is set within a two-storey building along Joo Chiat Road where the four 600-litre beer tanks are found on the ground floor. Family is at the heart of this Singapore restaurant and bar and everything from the name – derived from the owners’ grandfather’s birth year – to the names of the beers has a story behind it. If you’re visiting The 1925 Brewing Co. for something to nibble on, you can expect to find dishes inspired by western cuisine as well as local and Asian cuisines. Think braised pork belly, chilli crab ravioli and grilled meat cooked in a special beer reduction. If all this sounds up your alley, book a table and head to The 1925 in Joo Chiat for good brews and tasty food.

Brewing beer is at the heart of the Yeo family, the talented team behind The 1925 Brewing Co. in Joo Chiat. Specialising in the art of brewing craft beer and creating unique dishes in the kitchen, this Singapore bar and restaurant is fast becoming the go-to spot for sipping and nibbling the night away. Some of our favourite brews to sample include the signature Yellow Van pale ale that’s described as liquid gold; The General which is a delightfully fruity beer made from old and young ginger and the Manuka stout made with manuka honey and espresso. Feeling tempted by The 1925 Brewing Co. yet? We certainly are.

As for the food, you’ll find all manner of dishes designed to be matched with the beers on offer at The 1925 Brewing Co. Singapore. Many of the options on the menu are grilled over the restaurant’s wood and charcoal grills. You’ll find Teochew-inspired local braised pork belly alongside fettuccine cooked with seasonal clams, smoked cream and Teochew bean sauce and a particularly moorish smoked duck fettuccine smoked with spent wort and oak. The 1925 Brewing Co. in Joo Chiat is one of our favourite spots in Singapore, so do yourself a favour and book a table and head to this Joo Chiat Road bar. You’ll be in for a memorable time, to say the least!
