Great selection of sharing boards and great wine selection. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Mixed clientele of couples, groups and families made for a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere

You always get a lovely Sunday dinner with a good variety of things to have on your board (meat, veg and vegan options) and the service is excellent.

We were very excited to go to Bakerie. However, our experience was terrible and it very nearly ruined our Saturday evening. We arrived at 5.15 and were seated. We ordered drinks and around 15 minutes later a waitress came back to inform us that food would be around 20 - 30 minutes. I genuinely don't mind waiting for food as the place has a nice atmosphere. However, it would have been nice to have known this before we had ordered drinks and have been offered some complimentary bread etc. to keep us going as we were starving. We had to ask for bread 3 times which is a bit ridiculous in a restaurant called Bakerie. The wait was blamed on the fact they had a large group of around 26 people in the restaurant who were late for their reservation. This isn't our problem as we had booked a week in advance also. I'd suggest turning away large groups or simplifying the menu in future. We eventually received our food at around 6.45pm, 1.5 hours after we were seated. The food was very tasty in fairness but it's overpriced for what you get and you could pick most of it up and make a board yourself at home in around 10 minutes (1/9th of the time it takes at Bakerie). Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. Made worse by the fact this place has a lot of potential but is severely let down by mis-management. Management need to realise that there are plenty more places to eat in the Northern Quarter and if you carry on this way, you won't have any customers before long. I won't be going back and I'll ensure that none of my friends or family will either. Oh and also, if you're going to be so picky about giving tables bread when you can't cope, it might be worth changing your name!

This was our first visit to Bakerie. The food and wine were delicious, and the portions of stews were generous. The stews came with wedges of bread, which were good, but I would have liked to have been given the chance to choose what kind of bread I preferred. The espresso coffees were excellent. When the bill came, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bottle of wine was cheaper than shown on the menu. Apparently it was Happy Hour, but we were unaware of this when we ordered. We didn't like the high-energy music, which didn't match our need for relaxation, but at least it wasn't as loud as in some other restaurants.

We love Bakerie as a venue and have been many time. We went as a family for Sunday lunch. The meats were hot and very tasty, however the vegetables were cold! We didn't get a waitress asking how the food was until we were at least half way through the meal. I explained to the waitress that although everything was tasty, it was mostly cold. She said she would report this. When we got the bill I expected something to be taken off the bill because of the cold food. I ended up having to speak to the manager whom at first was very off with me and said I was coming across aggressive. I was merely and respectfully explaining what had taken place. This was extremely upsetting for me and my family. The manager did take 25%off the bill however I feel I should it have had to feel like I was at fault when in fact the food was and the initial reaction from the manager.

A group of us visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had the beef stew with focaccia from the lunch menu, the meat was very tender and stew was really tasty. Was a small portion but that was okay for lunch. Others in our group chose the walnut bread to go with the stew and were a bit disappointed as they got half a slice and when asked for more were told they didn't sell it as slices so they had to order a mixed bread basket- considering the Bakerie's main selling point is bread I thought this was a little strange. One of our group ordered the charcuterie board, this was overpriced at £15 for the very small portion- 3 choices of meat and the lamb kofta was tasteless, accompanying bread basket was nice. The bar is nice and barman very knowledgeable. Think we would visit agin but just for drinks.

A group of 6 of us went to Bakerie on an early Saturday evening before a night out in the NQ. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived, very attentive staff. We ordered 6 of the sharing boards between us, plus a couple of extras, which was more than enough. All of the group really enjoyed the experience and I'm sure we will visit again soon.

Had a lovely evening at Bakerie. 3 of us shared different starters, all good then had blue cheese risotto ( too big a helping) beef and wine casserole gorgeous and ratatouille also good. Latter was a bit lukewarm but it was changed without any trouble and a fresh dish brought out. Good bottle of red wine and all very reasonably priced. After dinner popped next door to Pie &Ale where beer was pronounced to be excellent
