More about the restaurant: Bacon & Booze
Bacon is the dessert of meats or, as Singapore’s Bacon & Booze call it, meat candy. But this sweetest of meats is just one of the two pillars holding up Bacon & Booze’s reputation. The three wise men who founded this shrine to cured pork also swear that beer is the answer. To everything. Period. We tend to agree. And if you do too, or if you don’t, you’d better head to Punggol Ranch down Punggol Road to have either your belief in bacon and booze ratified, or your doubts dispelled.

Punggol Point is a good place to visit anytime when you’re in Singapore. It’s a leafy spot by the water, and with Punggol Ranch to explore, where horse riding, boarding, and dining are saddled side by side, a great day can be had by all the family. And when you’re done with the horses, turn to the pigs. Inside the famous ranch along Punggol Road you’ll find – or rather sniff out like a truffle hog – Bacon & Booze, an eatery whose name says it all. Well, most of the story is encapsulated in the title: mouth-watering, melt-in-your mouth dishes, most of which contain some kind of bacon, and a ridiculous selection of beer, hard ginger beer, cider, and sake. There’s also coffee, tea, and milkshakes for those happy with just the bacon side of things.
Besides being the place in Singapore to get pork and a fermented, hop and malt beverage fix, Booze & Bacon have a swag of special offers peppering the week with reasons to take the trip down Punggol Road to Punggol Ranch. On Saturdays diners are soulfully serenaded by Deborah and Marcus with music ideal with some, yep, bacon and booze. Monday is happy hour all day, meaning you get a free half pint with every full pint of booze you order to wash down the bacon. On Tuesday you can get a coffee and cake combo at a low, low price (bacon not included), and on Thursday you can claim 15% off every bottle of wine. A towering Booze & Bacon fest looms large when Booze & Bacon offer cheap 3-litre towers of beer to go with their bacon stacks on Wednesdays, while Bucket Fridays mean cheap buckets of beer to batter the bacon down the hatch.
