The art of British high tea is popular throughout Asia, and in Singapore, fans of the form can’t go past Arteastiq’s Boutique Tea House, to be found in a very imperious setting at the Mandarin Gallery along Orchard Road. With a name suggesting the intersection between the art of teasing and the art of tea that makes you tick, Arteastiq caters to discerning tea-drinkers looking for a modern tea lounge that preserves the sensibilities of the European salon, but with the brand always attracting a lot of custom, we strongly recommend a reservation.
Dear diners, please note the following two sittings for reservations on weekends and public holidays:
Session 1: 1:30pm
Session 2: 3:30pm
These sittings are exclusively for the luscious seafood high tea (from $98++) only. Both sittings last 2 hours. The team will confirm reservations within 24 hours of booking. Thank you!
Singapore has long been a crossroads between east and west, the classic and the contemporary. Indeed, these cultures and epochs meet at Arteastiq Boutique Tea House, located in Orchard Road’s Mandarin Gallery. Tea, of course, is an ancient Asian tradition. Taken up centuries ago by the European aristocracy, the concept of high tea has wound its way back to the origin of tea, the east, where tea aficionados enjoy their tipple (both traditional brews and teas with a contemporary twist) seated on modern lounge furniture, designed by Marxx, but reminiscent of 17th and 18th century designs.
Fruit teas, English floral teas, Chinese, and Japanese teas, dessert teas, and even alcoholic teas jostle for elbow space alongside sweet and savoury delicacies on Arteastiq’s crowded menu. And we can’t forget the crowds that flock to Singapore’s latest rave – the patented Arteastiq Art Jam. It’s a novel concept whereby customers can sip their tea together while tapping into their inner creative. Reservations are recommended.
Very fusion kind of food. Not a big fan but they do hv very nice ambience. Suitable for hi tea rather than dinner. Really hv to ask what are the ingredients contents as the staff will say nice but when you ask what is it. They do not rili know. Food taste so so.
Good ambience, nice place. Tried the high tea set and it is very nice. It would be better if the high tea is like other places where the food can be top up or more variety.
Ambience was good but staff are rather rude and unprofessional. Café was rather empty with just at most 4 tables filled up. Despite the light load, staff refused to let us have the 4-seaters table facing takashimaya view. All staff congregated at the kitchen and we had to take a while to have our orders taken. When we asked to have additional 5 minutes to select our tea (after making our high-tea set order), the staff who took our order did not return after that. We then had to try to get hold of the attention of another server to order. Overall, a disappointment and will not return.
