The art of British high tea is popular throughout Asia, and in Singapore, fans of the form can’t go past Arteastiq’s Boutique Tea House, to be found in a very imperious setting at the Mandarin Gallery along Orchard Road. With a name suggesting the intersection between the art of teasing and the art of tea that makes you tick, Arteastiq caters to discerning tea-drinkers looking for a modern tea lounge that preserves the sensibilities of the European salon, but with the brand always attracting a lot of custom, we strongly recommend a reservation.
Dear diners, please note the following two sittings for reservations on weekends and public holidays:
Session 1: 1:30pm
Session 2: 3:30pm
These sittings are exclusively for the luscious seafood high tea (from $98++) only. Both sittings last 2 hours. The team will confirm reservations within 24 hours of booking. Thank you!
Singapore has long been a crossroads between east and west, the classic and the contemporary. Indeed, these cultures and epochs meet at Arteastiq Boutique Tea House, located in Orchard Road’s Mandarin Gallery. Tea, of course, is an ancient Asian tradition. Taken up centuries ago by the European aristocracy, the concept of high tea has wound its way back to the origin of tea, the east, where tea aficionados enjoy their tipple (both traditional brews and teas with a contemporary twist) seated on modern lounge furniture, designed by Marxx, but reminiscent of 17th and 18th century designs.
Fruit teas, English floral teas, Chinese, and Japanese teas, dessert teas, and even alcoholic teas jostle for elbow space alongside sweet and savoury delicacies on Arteastiq’s crowded menu. And we can’t forget the crowds that flock to Singapore’s latest rave – the patented Arteastiq Art Jam. It’s a novel concept whereby customers can sip their tea together while tapping into their inner creative. Reservations are recommended.
It was a very nice and different experience. The ambiance was soaked in painting and the dabs of colours everywhere make the studio feel come alive. Seeing a lot of young and old people and children painting to express their creativity was lovely.
Nice atmoshere and delicious tea! However, service could be improved. Waiter could have come over to my side of the table to pass me the bill, rather than to cut in front of my guests while they were talking. Conducive for client meetings.
The sofa seat facing the main road is super chill and relaxing. Although it might be too noisy if all the sofa seat are fully taken up but overall experience was good. Seats are comfy and the sweet potato fries is so yummy!
It was our first time trying their afternoon tea set at Arteastiq. We ordered the one for 2 pax. We personally find that the set was too sweet to our liking. And the food was very small size for us ... We wish we could be able to choose the variety of the set between sweet and savoury ... Hope to see Arteastiq improve and we would love to come back.
I had the duck wrap and pear tea which tasted great. However the service was not as good as expected. When I arrived, the place was packed and the staff took a good 8 min to get my table ready. The wrap also arrived way before the tea got served which was not acceptable to me. The ambience was not as conducive as before the business picked up. Average overall rating.
We literally had morsels of tea items. The place was busy and it was hard to get the attention of servicers. Chairs were hard plastic so not a place I would go again for a relaxed meal. The beverage selections were extensive. We had so.e lovely teas - when they were finally served.
The food is delicious, with the quiet space, my guest and i really enjoyed the catch up, definatley will bring friends back again if got chance, next time would love to try high tea set.
The service staff was very attentive. Level of customer service was good. Ambience on a Friday night was surreal and was conducive for us to catch up while having dinner there at the same time.
The place was perfect for our meeting discussion over a cuppa of fragrant tea. Food was good and price was reasonable. The portion was surprisingly huge and filling. Overall a good experience and will return.
Awesome experience. One of my Muslim colleague wrongly placed an alcoholic dessert and the waitress was kind enough to replace it. Especially when the group is big, orders can be hard to manage but she did it style. Love her attitude!
