Modern local food served tapas style. Some hits some misses.
Ambience was great, food was a little too salty for my liking. Overall dining experience was fairly alright.
alittle tashi is situated right on the border of Kallang and Little India making it the perfect place to grab some respite after a busy day in Singapore. The chilled atmosphere here provides a small nook of tranquility amongst all the amazing sights and energy the city has to offer. The main restaurant is a modern, family-style dining room with long tables lining the smooth, polished concrete walls and funky rope lights casting cool shadows around the room. A meal at tashi takes on the communal Asian dining style, almost like sharing a spread of ‘zi char’ dishes. Diners place their orders at the service counter and save on the 10% service charge. Back at the table, food arrives on enamel plates, to be eaten with your hands or simple silverware available in a jar on the table, a fuss-free way to dine.
alittle tashi’s scrumptious food offering takes its inspiration from all over the world, with everything from Asian chimichurri to grilled lamb ribs, and from crispy pork belly to chilled mussels on offer. The possibilities feel endless, especially after sampling some items from their great drinks menu. No matter your preference, everyone who visits alittle tashi is sure to find something they love. A few of our favourite dishes include the grilled squid with lettuce wraps and Asian chimichurri sauce; fried beer battered shishamo with sea salt and lemon and the wing bean salad with long beans, mint, Thai basil, shallots and a shrimp paste dressing.
