About Al Bacio
Located on King Street in Deansgate, Al Bacio offers an authentic Italian experience right in the heart of Manchester. From rustic pasta dishes to homemade pizzas, and succulent meat and seafood dishes, diners can feast on array of Italian favourites, all served up in a stylish, contemporary setting. In true Italian style, begin your meal with some antipasti like the gamberoni e parma ham (king prawns wrapped in parma ham served with diced vegetables) before moving on to a hearty Italian main. We recommend the spada in agrodolce (swordfish steak, served with a sultanas, pine nuts, cherry tomatoes and a sweet and sour sauce) or some homestyle lasagna, cooked just the way your nonna would. Buono Appetito!

From the moment we arrived at the restaurant the staff were lovely & attentive, good choice of both drinks menu & food. The food was outstanding, we each ordered different dishes of the menu, but each one was hot, well presented and delicious. Will definitely be back soon.
Excellent restaurant with relaxed atmosphere and very good food. Well priced for the quality. Have used before and will certainly use again when in the centre of Manchester..
Came across this restaurant by chance on an offer website. The offer wasn't available at the time we wanted to dine, but we decided to try Al Bacio anyway. It was a good decision. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Another good thing about this restaurant is that you can have a starter size of any pasta. I will certainly be revisiting here.
very attentive staff, nice atmosphere in clean restaurant complimented by very good food and drink.we would recommend this restaurant to anyone for lunch or dinner.
Al Bacio is a hidden gem in Manchester. Everything from the welcome to the food itself was perfect. Francesco was a most attentive and charming host and the duck ravioli was to die for. Highly recommended to anyone planning a trip to the Christmas Markets.
My husband and I went to Al Bacio on a Sunday evening so it was very quiet as were all the city restaurants. The food was very good and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and Italian which pleased my husband as he is also Italian. We will definitely go there again.
There was not much wrong with the food or service at Al Bacio. It's just that it was all rather ordinary. All a bit average! Nothing to differentiate between this and any other run of the mill Italian restaurant. But don't let that put you off if you are in the area . . . it was good enough.
Al Bacio has excellent food and excellent service. It has a really nice atomosphere and I would definitely recommend it. Its never been too busy when I've been in either.
Excellent service and excellent staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them even accommodating an extra guest at a minutes notice. From start to finish was an enjoyable experience and at a very reasonable price for 9 of us. Would highly recommend them and hope it won't be too long for our next visit.
Really pleased. The food was excellent, full of flavour and it had a generous portion of chicken. Great service, very friendly. Loved the deco, Very calm atmosphere, you can actually hear what your partner is saying, This is a proper restaurant, best Italian style, and we fully recommend it.
Visited with a groupon deal for two. Excellent service. Prosecco was chilled and delicious. Waiters extremely attentive. Food was tasty my only criticism is slightly too salty. Also it was quite empty but I believe more people need to know about this place. Other than that great food and I would visit again.
Excellent place! Very good food and atmosphere, and excellent service. Started with italian style bruschetta and a bottle of red wine from Sicily, then had an excellent beef fillet served with truffle sauce. Delicious! Experience to be repeated.
Good, friendly service, greeted as soon as we walked through the door. All the tables were spaced well apart and the standard of the food was excellent. The best sea bass I have eaten. Who could want more!
Enjoyable lunch time meal with a friend, friendly professional staff, lovely restaurant and very clean with a relaxing atmosphere. The food was prepared in the kitchen open to view in the corner of the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Lovely food , excellent friendly service, a bit quiet at lunch time, tucked away down a side street. I hope that they busier in the evening as a restaurant as good as this deserves to do well
A lovely restaurant tucked away up a side street. Food and staff both good- visited on a Groupon offer so good value. Will possibly return but will downgrade to pasta/pizza as usually visit Manchester mid week for a budget catch up with friends.
Fantastic & authentic Italian restaurant. The staff were fantastic and the food was beautiful. I had the salmon and pear risotto-it was amazing! We will be coming again soon :)
Me and my fiancé went for a romantic meal on a Saturday evening, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious, we will definitely be returning
Lovely ambience in this restaurant and the staff are very pleasant. The food was great - we has the chicken livers followed by the veal which were both very tasty; well cooked and well presented.
The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was great. I had a steak, medium-rare. My wife had the chicken breasts. Both dishes was cooked well. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Definitely worth it.
Second visit and another great meal. Food excellent, large portions, good quality. Service very good also from attentive staff. Plenty of choice on menu and very good value.
We had a lovely meal, great value as we bought a groupon voucher and the staff were very polite and professional, the restaurant for had a nice atmosphere.
it was excellent food with excellent service. we couldn't fault it in any way. the wines were good value for money and overall we were made very welcome
Brilliant service. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. The staff really made a birthday special for us. Great value for money. Thank you
Amazing food! Amazing staff! So friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable. One of the best Italians I've eaten at. I'm very eager to come back!!
Very attentive staff and delicious food with a varied menu. I would definitely recommend to anyone to go and enjoy the food in a lovely surrounding.
great food and great service - would highly recommend it. the waiting staff could not do enough for us, even with allergies in the party.
Perfect service food and ambience, we enjoyed our meal and it was presented very nice. Dessert was gorgeous and we all enjoyed our 3 courses
Very pleasant and professional staff. The food was very tasty and well presented. We would recommend this restaurant. Good choice of food and nice cocktails
We had a fabulous evening, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Service was quick. We loved it that much that we have booked again
the staff very attentive and the food overall food delicious, the garlic bread was amazing . We will definitely pay this restaurant another visit on our next trip into Manchester
Excellent in every respect, great food, good service and worth every penny. Nice modern decor and very comfortable seating. Would definitely recommend and will return.
We had a lovely time at the restaurant. The food was really nice and came hot! The service was very good and although it wasn't busy it was very nice.
Lovely little place, waiters were very friendly and food was great. Plenty of choice on the menu however the prices were a little expensive for me
There was a Good atmosphere, the food was nice with plenty to choose from and the service was good very friendly. We would eat there again.
Lovely restaurant for a group dinner. Friendly staff, good service and tasty food. Will return again. Good vegetarian food options and selection of drinks 😊
Groupon voucher confusing - thought we were having 2 courses with wine and turned out to be 1 course with wine . When we came to pay - disputed the charge for starters but told that our voucher not for 2 courses - were shown the alternative voucher that was 2 courses with prosecco. So here's the thing - why is Groupon offering 2 very different deals on the same promotion and why does a main course come with absolutely no sides - we had chicken in sauce and we then had to pay for sides of chips. All around the 5 of us felt it was a poor show!!!
Food wasn't nice at all, extremely salty and in need of improvement. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the service was great, it's a shame we won't be going back because of the food.
Not impressed with the steak ..., not sure it was fillet, and the veg was cold... And the pâté on top on the steak was disgusting it ran into the Madeira sauce. My teenage daughter tried this and said it was disgusting. On the plus side they enjoyed their pasta dishes
Lovely place with friendly staff. Starter was delicious but unfortunately the main was way too salty. Also not impressed that dishes are served without any garnish or side. Makes the meal very basic. Definitely would not pay the full asking price
Very poor service even though there was only another 3 tables occupied. Food was poor and side order came when we had almost finished. Wouldn't go back
would not go again food not up to much and have to pay extra for chips potatoes etc pint of lager nearly £6 hope this helps
We did not have our meal as I didn.t have voucher printed as my printer is broke, but I took the details with me and they just said no we couldn't. Have meal without the voucher so my birthday was spoilt.
