As the name suggests, Afterwit’s concept was somewhat of an afterthought, originally intended as just a cafe until the owners had the ingenious idea of throwing in some delicious Mexican inspired food to the mix too. With an extensive range of delicious street-style tacos and burritos, Afterwit have got the basics well covered, but you will also find a range of special dishes as well, bringing the vibrant flavours of Mexican cuisine right to Singapore’s Bugis.
Try some mejillones en mantequilla de ajo – mussels in garlic butter and lemon sauce topped with cilantro and pico de gallo, or a Mexican-inspired tortilla pizza topped with herb and tomato sauce, jalapenos, cheddar, mozzarella, olives, onions and refried beans. Also on the menu is a selection of brunch options such as huevos Benedictos – a Mexican take on eggs Benedict with roast beef and mushrooms topped with chipotle hollandaise sauce served with a toasted brioche, mesclun and corn chips.
