This town centre restaurant and concert venue invites you to enjoy a lengthy menu of British and international specialities, all made with the finest seasonal ingredients. We recommend beginning your meal with the dorset ham hock and prosciutto terrine with roasted apple puree, salad and toasted onion bread before moving on to favourites like the roasted rump of lamb, pan-fried fillet of hake or the juicy 10oz sirloin steak served with portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and triple cooked chips. There’s much more where that came from, and since 1812 changes its menu seasonally, you’ll never run out of new options to try. Reservations are never a bad idea at this bustling Bournemouth hotspot.
Can’t fault 1812. The food is amazing and the price is so reasonable. I have been a few times now and have not been disappointed I highly recommend a visit.
Wonderful food and drink as usual. The atmosphere and service are perfect. They escorted us in despite the fact we were 15 minutes early, and assisted my disabled partner with getting her wheelchair through the door. The staff went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed.
Amazing service, the waitresses were attentive and so helpful. Lovely food and tasty cocktails. The atmosphere was great, would recommend 1812 to all my friends.
Great food and service. We had the set menu - £15 for 3 courses and it couldn't have been better. Will definitely be going again
Took the husband for dinner for his birthday. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly Maitre'd who gave us a complimentary Prosecco. The waitress gave us plenty of time to study the menu and was attentive but left us to enjoy our meal. We both opted for the seared scallop starter, which I can honestly say, was the most flavoursome scallops I have ever had. A great combination of flavours and textures. We then both had the sirloin steak. This was a large plate of food and not the best quality meat (would have preferred fillet on the menu) but that said, again, the flavours and seasoning was exceptional. My only other issue was the 'triple' cooked chips were slightly underdone. We didn't have room for pudding. Great, bustling atmosphere in the restaurant even though it wasn't packed, then into the bar for the band and drinks. All in all, a really great evening.
Amazing experience, went for a Christmas meal out with my girlfriend and we loved 1812! The food was lovely, the service was excellent and we had the perfect night. Very good food for the money, yes it's quite expensive but definitely worth it for a good night out, looking at going back soon! Can't wait to eat here again!
Really warm welcome. Lovely hostess/waitress. The Sunday roast was enourmous and freshly prepared to order. Nice environment (with a Gin bar!), and subtle acoustic live music from the bar adjoining the restaurant. We come to the BIC every summer for an event and will absolutely bring all our staff back to 1812 for lunch again.
Our first visit to this restaurant but could not fault the food and service. Four of us visited and had different starters and mains which we all loved. Our deserts were lovely, crumbles and the Grand Marmier panda cotta was absolutely delicious! Cheese board also perfect to end the meal. We will be returning to the restaurant and can so easily recommend. Cost £153 for four without wine and brandy which is a personal choice but it was a birthday celebration so we did push the boat out!! Lovely evening.
As always the food was superb, extremely tasty, well presented and just the right portion size. The service was excellent, the staff were attentive without being intrusive. I would thoroughly recommend 1812 to anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal.
The pre show menu was great , the service fast and friendly, the location for the BIC cannot be bettered. Overall the visit enhanced a really great night out and I will recommend 1812 to all my friends
