Located inside Bournemouth's first residence dating back to the 19th century, 1812 is local favourite, boasting all of the the key components to an amazing night: a stylish setting, a lengthy cocktail list and a menu of delicious international cuisine. The restaurant is the perfect place for a sophisticated meal or a romantic date, while the bar area provides the perfect backdrop to an evening spent sipping on cocktails to the sound of live music. We recommend beginning your meal with some black pudding scotch egg with curried aioli, apple and rocket, before moving on to the pan-fried sea bass, caper and olive crushed potato, bok choi, chorizo and red pepper butter. Whether its for dinner or drinks, 1812 draws in crowds from all over Bournemouth to its location on Exeter Road in Bournemouth town centre. Book ahead to avoid disappointment!

Excellent food and attentive staff as well as an astounding array of cocktails. Highly recommended! The live music was great and made for a relaxed atmosphere. Best night out in ages.
Great Sunday lunch. This is the best location in Bournemouth for Sunday lunch. Food is great and also not too pricey given location service n centre
Amazing experience, went for a Christmas meal out with my girlfriend and we loved 1812! The food was lovely, the service was excellent and we had the perfect night. Very good food for the money, yes it's quite expensive but definitely worth it for a good night out, looking at going back soon! Can't wait to eat here again!
Fantastic meal, 3 courses for £15 Monday to Wednesday. You won't get better at that price. Grab a cocktail as well. Great service as well!
The pre show menu was great , the service fast and friendly, the location for the BIC cannot be bettered. Overall the visit enhanced a really great night out and I will recommend 1812 to all my friends
Haven't had a bad meal at 1812. Staff are friendly and very efficient. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Very good value for money with 3 courses for £15 mon-wed
Great food & cocktails. Our Quandoo booking was not on their system. Happens all the time. Needs fixing. Never had a bad meal at 1812.
Amazing as always. We go here multiple times a year. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. We intend to come back here until we're old and grey.
Great customer service. Tables positioned not too close. Couldn't hear any noise from the bar. We had a 3 course meal and every part was a really high standard. We would definitely return.
Great location for a tasty meal before a show. Food was good value and restaurant nice. The staff were helpful even putting our first drinks onto our bill for restaurant. Would.go again next time going to a show
Food was delicious as always although service was slow and a bit unfriendly... We had drinks in the bar beforehand and they took a very long time to make too (Bloody Mary, Virgin Mary and a prosecco) - would still go back for more tho!
The food was very good well presented. The service provided was of a good standard not overly intrusive! Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will visit again if in the area in the future
Great food and service nothing was too much trouble. Had the monkfish linguine the best meal I've had in ages my husband had the lamb he loved it
It may have been a windy stormy night but I didn't expect the restaurant to be quite so cold. We booked for 8pm received emailing confirmation. Then later a phone call changing our table to 9.15 instead. At this time it was lucky that we could move to a different table. Risotto was cooked well in parts but it was also crunchy ie not cooked in other, and some of the peas were like bullets. I was certainly expecting a lot more.
Excellent night out for a birthday treat. Nice food, nice music from bar area. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time.
The three course meal was delicious. The waitress was exceptionally knowledgable about wine and assisted in making an excellent choice to go with the food.
Lovely food and drinks, great service. Thought the set meal was very good value for money and very tasty! Cocktails were delicious too, thank you
Good value "3 course for £15" menu. Food beautifully presented and delicious. Waiting staff friendly and efficient. Just what is required for mid-week meal out.
Nice meal, presentation and choice A la carte style and /or set menu Try the cheese and biscuits with a large glass of Shiraz 👍
Fab food, fab service and fab price on a early week special. Hope you continue with special offers as it will keep us coming back
Good food and atmosphere. Recommend the cheese board, perfect amount of cheese to biscuits and a good wine selection to choose from. Will be going again.
Restaurant perhaps a little tired on the decor front but the service and food quality is excellent. Reasonable value for money for the quality of food.
Really enjoyed the food and at £15 for 3 courses was exceptional value. The service was very slow and at times the music was far too loud for a restaurant.
The restaurant itself felt and looked dated but clean overall. My cutlery was dirty so I switched it with the table next to us. Waiter was ok. Food was average with not much flavour. I wouldn't go there again.
There wasn't an option to give a zero rating but this ranks among the worst meals I've ever eaten. The seafood pasta was drowning an inch deep in olive oil. It was like a disgusting soup, leaving my mouth coated in oil and unable to taste anything after a couple of mouthfuls. Avoid.
It was very disappointing. Unwelcoming. Poor choice on menu. Rowdy noise from the bar made the atmosphere in the restaurant unpleasant. We left without ordering.
