Great Penang fare in the heart of town at affordable prices, had ala carte because it was during the peak covid season however with buffets opening up would be more worthwhile to have their buffet considering their wide selection of dishes and desserts and price. Best to reserve a table before going down.

Great food and service as always! Have been returning to Penang Place over the past 20 years or so.

Because of the Virus concern, the restaurant is not crowded. most of the food is limited quantity, never replenish. When approach the staff on the Penang Fried Kway Teow which was empty at 1:15pm, they say they will cook for us. If we didn't approach them, we would had miss out on the Penang fried Kway Teow.

Came here with friends on a weekday night. The restaurant was rather empty. We had the place almost to ourselves. Prompt service. Come here for authentic Penang char koay teow and rasam laksa!

When we arrived at our table, it was sooo sticky. The food is all right. Other than water, no alternative beverages in the buffet.

Good for family bonding. Believers in Christ will feel at home with pipe in Christian musics.

Family gathering. Delicious food and excellent service. Value for money, with a warm heart of service. Of course we’ll be back!! Hot favourites : char kway teow (of course !) chicken wings, chicken curry, rendang and Hae Mee - to name a few !

The buffet spread is not much but all dishes are of good quality!

The staff who showed me to the table did not check if we are having buffet or alarm carte menu which when we informed the working staff that we wanted aka carte they told us off for seating in the wrong area. This is not a pleasant feeling when the staff didn't do their job properly in the first place.

Penang Place serves authentic Penang cuisine. It is slightly premium for Straits food but it is fair, given the convenient location within City Centre, clean and nice atmosphere and very prompt service. I have taken foreign guests and clients here - it is a very good mix of introducing great local food while hosting in a comfortable and pleasant environment. Waiting time is very little as reservation makes it smooth and easy. Thank you!

Penang Place is one of those rare restaurants where almost every buffet dish is good. My family enjoys the buffet very much as the food are tasty.

My family had a great time at the buffet dinner! The place is very spacious and has a nice ambience. Staff were very attentive, friendly and efficient at clearing used plates. The food was great in general especially the Penang Char Kway Tiao! The dish that can be improved would be the curry as we find it salty. Dessert station was good too; DIY ice kachang, fruits and a range of “kui kuis”. In all, this is a place worth visiting if you prefer Asian Food!! Will definitely return next time!
