The country pub is a classic of the British dining scene and there are plenty of excellent pub-style restaurants in Hampshire to discover. The Bird in Hand in Waterlooville is a great example, serving pub classics such as beer battered haddock, pan-fried calf's liver and sausage and mash. The King Alfred in Winchester brings that classic pub vibe into town and serves some great British dishes including a fabulous hand-pressed Hampshire beef burger with all the trimmings.
